Why Convert Sprite Sheets to GIFs?
Sprite sheets are common file assets packing sequential frames inside a single grid. Slicing and compiling them into looping GIFs allows game developers, animators, and designers to preview loops, share character animations, or post pixel graphics on standard social feeds.
Slice Tips for Perfect Frames
Toggle the "Grid Slices Preview" tab to overlay a glowing cut template. If your frames aren't aligned, adjust the starting coordinate offsets or insert horizontal/vertical spacing gaps to center the frames in the sliced boxes.
To convert: 1) Drag and drop your sprite sheet image. 2) Specify grid layout (Rows, Columns, Offsets). 3) Verify cuts in grid preview. 4) Use timeline controls to arrange loops. 5) Click 'Convert to GIF' to save.
It shows a strip of thumbnails. You can duplicate frames, delete frames, shift orders (re-order play sequence), or type specific delay periods in milliseconds under each individual card.
Yes! Slices can be color-filtered using vintage monochrome sepia, cyber neon hues, or classic game console mappings such as 4-shade Game Boy green screen or cyan/magenta CGA palettes.
